SPECIAL INFO ABOUT THE DSC16 SPECIAL TAG REGISTRATION PROMOTION

Now in its sixteenth year, DESERT SCALE CLASSIC Model Car Championship is the premiere automotive miniature contest, show, and vendor expo in the Southwest!  Attracting the finest model car builders from throughout North America, DSC is an acclaimed critically-judged competition that showcases hundreds of exceptional scale creations. Because DSC enjoys the highest integrity, a ‘win’ at DSC is a proud and memorable achievement. 

Hosted by the Cactus Car Modelers Club of Phoenix, DESERT SCALE CLASSIC is unique in offering a contest-within-the-contest!  DSC entrants never compete against members of the host club. Cactus Car Modelers Club members present their creations in a separate display.  DSC entrants join spectators in “Judging the Judges” by voting for their favorite host club models.

Dozens of vendors offer vintage, discontinued, rare, hard-to-find and unusual kits at unbelievable prices during DSC’s vendor expo.  Paints, supplies, parts, resin products, photoetched and machined metal components, slot cars and slot car components, detailing supplies, decals, die casts, miniature toys, and more!  It’s all available in one place! 

An all-day raffle features scores of exceptional goodies for $1 tickets.  

An award-winning awards ceremony wraps up the event, with more than 100 prestigious trophies presented to successful contestants.

And then there’s the legendary, complimentary After-Action Barbeque for participants.  The fun and friendship of DSC just goes on.
